Québec NRN dataset with Number of Lanes, Pavement Status and Structure Type

On behalf of the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG), Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is pleased to announce the release of a new edition of the National Road Network (NRN) dataset of Québec.
This publication is the result of a process performed by NRCan to integrate into the NRN dataset of Québec, the pavement status, number of lanes and structure type attributes that were absent in the previous version. Information used to populate these attributes dates from 1999 to 2002. The attributes « number of lanes » and « pavement status » for road segments that have no match in the reference source used have a value unknown. This corresponds to about 10% of the road segments.
This publication consists of several data sources relative to the road network, address ranges and resource access road data of Québec. With the exception of number of lanes, pavement status, structure type, structure identifier, structure names French and English provided by NRCan, the custodians of the data are: the ministère des Transports du Québec, the ministère des Affaires municipales, des Régions et de l'Occupation du territoire, the Directeur général des élections du Québec (DGEQ) and the ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune. The data conversion process to the NRN data standards 2.0 and conflation process to recover missing attributes from a previous NRN edition were performed by NRCan.
Data Change Management (DCM) files between the current and previous August 2011 releases are also provided for this dataset.
