2008 update of Alberta NRN dataset

On behalf of the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG), Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is pleased to announce the release of the fourth update of the Alberta portion of National Road Network (NRN).
This new NRN GeoBase dataset was produced by and carried out in the framework of a maintenance agreement between NRCan, Statistics Canada (STC) and Alberta Transportation (AT) with funding support from GeoConnections. The work for this activity is performed by a private firm contracted by AT.
This update includes around 2400km of additional roads with address ranges, street names and place names. Many attributive and geometric updates are also included.
Data Change Management (DCM) files between 2009-05 and previous 2008-06 releases are also provided for this dataset.
