Nunavut road network update on GeoBase

The road network for twenty-six (26) Nunavut communities is now available for download from GeoBase. Recognition and thanks to the Ministry of Economic Development and Transportation of Nunavut whose data contributions have allowed the extraction and compilation of the road network centerline data. The Nunavut road network is now comprised of 812 kilometres of roads covering the following communities:

- Grise Fjord
- Pond Inlet
- Arviat
- Hall Beach
- Qikiqtarjuaq
- Baker Lake
- Igloolik
- Rankin Inlet
- Cambridge Bay
- Iqaluit
- Repulse Bay
- Cape Dorset
- Kimmirut
- Resolute Bay
- Chesterfield Inlet
- Kugaaruk
- Sanikiluaq
- Clyde River
- Kugluktuk
- Taloyoak
- Coral Harbour
- Nanisivik
- Whale Cove
- Gjoa Haven
- Pangnirtung
The addition of isolated and local road networks like those of the Nunavut territory marks another milestone in the ongoing quality and coverage improvements of the National Road Network (NRN).
