GeoBase Raw Imagery 2005-2010

Description

Images of Raw Imagery GeoBase 2005-2010 product are raster digital date coming from SPOT 4 and SPOT 5 satellites that contain a panchromatic band with 10 meter pixels and four multispectral bands with 20 meter pixels. These images were used to produce the orthoimages of the GeoBase Orthoimage 2005-2010 product. These images are not georeferenced.

The main objective of the project is to produce a complete set of raw images covering Canada's landmass over a five-year period, from May 2005 to October 2010. The goal is also to promote the use of geomatics and education through a Web site, and to make this data available through the GeoBase portal.

Raw images are available for downloading, free of charge, in CAP format for SPOT 4 and in DIMAP format for SPOT 5.

Raw Imagery files are available for downloading, free of charge. They are made available as soon as they are produced. Coverage is under the responsibility of the producer according to its planning and its capacity.

Images from GeoBase Raw Imagerey 2005-2010 are not georeferenced.

Use and Restrictions

All distributed GeoBase Raw Imagery 2005-2010 datasets should be accessed and used relatively to the GeoBase Unrestricted Use Licence Agreement.

Data Discrepancies

This product is subject to Discrepancies processing provided by the Centre for Topographic Information from Natural Resources Canada. A discrepancy is defined as any deviation from the product's Standards and Specifications. Search for discrepancies related to GeoBase Raw Imagery 2005-2010.

Data Format

GeoBase Raw Imagery 2005-2010 datasets are available in CAP format for SPOT 4 imagery and DIMAP format for SPOT 5 imagery.
